The ADOW Foundation exists to advance mental health education, promote suicide prevention, eliminate stigma, and support those impacted by suicide loss.
"To advance mental health education and awareness, promote suicide prevention, eliminate the stigma associated with mental health challenges, and support individuals and families impacted by suicide loss."
The ADOW Foundation was established in loving memory of Andre DeWayne Oliver Woodside, who died by suicide on January 27, 2020. Andre's passing left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him — and ignited an unwavering commitment to ensure that others never have to face a mental health crisis alone.
We believe that mental health is health — and that every person deserves access to the knowledge, compassion, and support they need to thrive. That belief is the foundation of everything we do.
"We exist because one life lost is one too many. We exist because grief can become purpose. We exist because community has the power to save lives."
Workshops, seminars, and programs that build mental health awareness in schools, workplaces, and faith communities across South Florida and beyond.
Equipping people with life-saving knowledge, early intervention skills, and direct connections to crisis support — so that no one faces their darkest moment without a lifeline.
Normalizing conversations about mental health and breaking down the barriers that prevent people from seeking the help they deserve.
Walking alongside families impacted by suicide loss — connecting them to resources, services, and to one another, because grief shared is grief lightened.
A world where mental health is openly discussed, compassionately supported, and universally accessible — where no one suffers in silence, and where the stigma that has cost too many lives is replaced by understanding, community, and hope.
