Born from love and loss, driven by purpose — honoring the life of Andre DeWayne Oliver Woodside by building a more compassionate world.
Andre was a beloved son, brother, friend, and light to all who knew him. His passing on January 27, 2020 left an immeasurable void — and ignited a determination in those who loved him to ensure that others never have to face a mental health crisis alone. The ADOW Foundation was born from that love, that grief, and that unwavering commitment to his memory.
The ADOW Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing mental health education and awareness, promoting suicide prevention, and working to eliminate the stigma associated with mental health challenges and seeking therapeutic support.
"We believe that no one should face a mental health crisis alone — and that with the right education, support, and community, lives can be saved and transformed."
We pursue our mission by collaborating with schools, businesses, faith-based organizations, and other community partners to deliver educational programs, workshops, seminars, and events that foster understanding, compassion, and prevention.
We know that suicide loss is unlike any other grief. The ADOW Foundation connects individuals and families impacted by suicide loss to mental health resources, peer support groups, and community-based assistance.
The ADOW Foundation does not provide therapy, counseling, or direct support group services. Resources listed on this site are for informational purposes only. We do not endorse or recommend any specific provider or group.
